Rader International at Trenhams
Rader is the German word for wheel. Rader International is the UK’s leading wheel remanufacturing centre.
By using only known OE wheel preparation, processing and coating techniques, they are able to offer a superlative finished result within a market leading turnaround time.
OE means Original Equipment as manufactured by approved suppliers direct to the vehicle producers. An OE finish requires specific processes and coatings as well as fixed processes and working instructions.
Rader is different because they will not just simply smart repair or refurbish a vehicle. They completely remanufacture and recoat the alloy wheels to an extremely high standard.
They have made a significant investment into a fixed location, automated diamond turning and full colour coat process with Trenhams, Scarborough.
The team here is very proud of their state of the art facility and more than happy to give tours and customer consultations of the bespoke service.
Rader is able to collect and re-deliver within a 50 mile radius. However, you are more than welcome to deliver your wheels personally so you can engage with our expert team.
We do not merely ‘book-in’ your wheels and them ship them to another site for processing. Once in our care, they will remain with us and will be remanufactured according to specific processes and procedures, and your specific requirements.
Rader’s mission is simple; to replicate the secrets of both OE processes and coatings in order to remanufacture alloy wheels at a fraction of the cost of new replacements, and to pass those savings along to our customers.
The team is so proud of our state of the art facility, that we invite any & all to come and visit first hand to take an informative visual tour at your leisure, prior to discussing your individual or bespoke requirements in detail and before entrusting us with your alloy wheels...
Our Wheel Remanufacturing Process:
Upon arrival, (if fitted) the tyres, weights and valves are carefully removed. Each wheel is then individually assessed for damage and old coatings, and any oxidisation is removed.
Hot chemical cleaning, drying, alloy dressing and surface preparation is conducted prior to a final visual quality inspection.
Once approved, de-gassing and pre-heating is conducted to ensure a clean surface for coating.
Powder coating primer is then applied, uniquely formulated to ensure excellent physical and visual properties.
After primer, all wheels are conveyed through a high temperature curing oven for a fixed time and temperature.
All wheels are manually quality checked prior to further application of an OE approved water-based colour.
After colour application, OE quality powder coating alloy wheel acrylic is applied.
